My family gets up pretty early. Both boys have early morning seminary they need to get to. So I usually go back to sleep for 30 minutes. Well, not today.
I get a phone call at 6:45 from Doug saying that I needed to come and get Jacob and take him to school.
I ask why (very tiredly)?
He then tells me he and Jacob were in an accident, BUT it wasn't their fault.
I quickly run down the stairs, put on the first pair of shoes (thankfully they were Bryant's slippers),
grab a hoodie, due to the look I was sporting and locked the door behind me in hopes that Josh would stay asleep.
I then realize I haven't the clue where they would be at. So I'm starting to say my silent prayers, because I have forgotten my cell (which is a first), and after my 2nd silent prayer, I see the lights.
OUCH!
The police officer said it was a good thing Jacob was wearing a seat belt otherwise he would have been flown into Doug's head and they both would have gone to the hospital.
My Glass is half full!
The car...well, it's out for a while...how much damage? We don't know, it's not drivable. I took Jacob to school then picked up Doug so he could take me home and use my car.
Hopefully this afternoon we'll be able to get a rental.
The police officer said it was totally her fault and thankfully she has insurance.
My Glass is half full, with a little excitement!

I'm very glad to hear they are both alright. What a scary morning.
Wow! So glad to hear that they are not injured and that you won't have to pay for the repairs.
I'm so glad they didn't have to go to the hospital. It sounds like Josh slept--whew!
