Sunday was my first day of giving the Gospel Doctrine lesson. Let me tell you what...I didn't vomit or faint. WHEW!
When I was called, I was asked to give the first lesson. Then when Doug actually gave me the manual, I just didn't know what do to with it. I know, read it! So I opened it up and there in the first couple of lines the reference to read...ISAIAH! SHO"OOT!
I closed the book up.
Maybe it would go away...hahah!
Long story short...
I got on my knees and pleaded for help.
I think I did alright for the first time ever teaching this type of a class. Many more to come...but I know, I'm not going to vomit or faint. Just might fumble here and there...
But hey, I'm human, and I'm willing to learn all I can about the scriptures.

Pam,
You will come to love the scriptures more than you ever have before. You will learn much more than you can teach to your class. There are probably a good number in your class that are thankful that you have the calling and not them. They are on your side. Just give class members a chance to share their feelings and ideas. YOU CAN DO IT!!!!! Mom R.
I was just released teaching the adult gospel doctrine class in my family ward. I had that calling all through the new testament and LOVED it. you will do AWESOME!!! enjoy every minute!!!!!
