On the second day we were in Rochester, we decided to head east and visit Palmyra. We had most of the day before Charlie and Emily's ring ceremony in Syracuse. It was amazing. I'm just sad we didn't get to see the Whitmore Farm. Here are just some of our pictures. They don't do the beauty justice. You just have to see it for yourself.
We were only a little ways down when I took this picture, the hill is HUGE!
You can barely see the four church steeples with all the telephone wires.
I didn't know they meant anything, til we took the tour.
The Book of Mormon printing press
Amazed at all the work that went into getting the Book of Mormon ready for all to read and accept.
Doug, taking a chance to make a little bit of history play out.
Original paintings.

After our visit to Palmyra we then headed back to Rochester to pick up Charlie's friend who was on a VERY long train ride. We changed into our "pretty clothes" and headed to Syracuse a wee bit late for the ring ceremony. Actually, it was pretty gorgeous with the lights and candles.
The couples dance.
And after a long evening, a delayed flight, cancelled flights, we finally made it on the plane to come home. It was time to get back to reality and out of the clouds.
Til next time New York!
