US National Amateur Dancesport Championships 2012

I know, everyone has been anxiously awaiting news on how Charlie did at Dancesport this year.

Well here it is:

Thursday Charlie competed in Novice Latin where he placed 4th out of 69 entries.

Here is their video of their semi-final dance of the Samba and Rumba

Because they made it to the finals they have the dancers walk the red carpet...it's soo cool!

Then on Friday he competed in Pre-Champ Latin where they dance the Cha-Cha, Samba and Rumba

Out of 60 entries, Charlie and his partner made it to the semi finals.

He also competed in the US National Amateur Ballroom Championship where they dance the Waltz, Tango, Viennese Waltz, Fox Trot and Quick Step.  Very exciting to see in person!

Because of the VERY talented couples, Charlie's goal was to at least make it through one round.  They did that, they made it through the 2nd round as well and even made it through the Quarterfinals.  It was awesome.

Charlie competed on Saturday in his Gold Bar class event which he made it to the semi finals in.
