We've Got Talent

Bryant is following in the footsteps of his Mom and brother in performing as a soloist for Solo n' Ensemble.
His choral director helped him choose a song called "The Pilgrim's Song" by Tchaikovsky.  Not an easy piece to sing.  In Utah, they do Solo n' Ensemble a little different.  Here is how it goes:
1st you sing for you choral director and he/she gives you a rating from 1 to 5 (5 being BAD!!!)
You advance to regional solo n' ensemble only by getting a 1 or a 1+.  At regionals, you then sing for 2 judges and they score you again from a 1 to 5.  If you receive a 1 or a 1+ you move on to state solo n' ensemble, which means you are scored with other vocalist in the state of Utah!
Last year Bryant made it to regionals and missed state by scoring a 1-. Bummer!
This year, he had an amazing accompanist (the piece is wickedly hard!) and even forgot a line and still managed to score a 1.  I can only imagine what he would have scored if he remembered that line.  It was amazing!  I was the page turner.
So, yes, Bryant is moving on to state which will be held on the 30th of April right after he returns from choir tour and hopefully doesn't loose that voice!
