Can boys really stop thinking? This was a question I came a crossed. I asked different sons their opinions. I think having 1 adult son and 2 teenagers, I might get different responses....Which I did!
After telling my eldest about this question, his response was something like this: Boys sometimes just don't want you to know what they are thinking, so they say they are thinking nothing. Maybe they do just think nothing....(is there really proven document on this?)
Son #2 (teenager)...I don't know if he's not thinking anything, or just has selective hearing which by the way ALL children no matter boy or girl has!!!!
I just have to pry answers, if I want them, out a little harder with this one. So, yes, I think he is thinking something/or about someone...he just would rather not say.
Son #3 (also teenager)...THINKS to much! Everyone in this family is in agreement with this. He comes up with the most sophisticated answers and jokes that you often wonder if his brain is on overdrive. Sometime ask me about what he thinks about Money growing on trees...It's pretty funny...but for another blog entry.
So...
Regarding boys....when they hit high school, silence begins...not because they are not thinking of anything...it's more of who they are thinking of...how can they get this person to notice them, how do they look...so if your son might be going brain dead....THERE is a GIRL involved!

Hahaha... I wish I would have known this in High School ;)
That explains it!
Let's be honest...guys don't talk much (period) AND I'm sure our brains process things differently...we most certainly do not consciously think, "Okay, now I'm thinking about..." I can't speak for girls but I know that guys don't think consciously. Actually, most of the time when a girl asks me what I was thinking about, suddenly my mind blacks out and I can't think what to tell her.
FINALLY! ANSWERS!
