I'm Not Ready...

The words from My Turn on Earth explain it all...."I'm not ready, I don't want to go now..."  You get the picture, after serving in the YW's organization for around 18 out of the 23 years of being married...today I was released.  Many say congratulations, while the feelings of emotion have over come me.  I loved being introduced by my YW when they are older as "Their YW leader". Its been one of my favorite callings no matter where in the organization I was put.  My boys all grew up having Mom in YW's watching over them...now, I know what you will say, let's see them fly on their own.  I don't think I was quiet ready to let go yet.  You know when you first move to a new area and get a calling as great as mine was and work with wonderful ladies in the ward and just iron out some of the ruffled feathers, I question myself, did I do what I was suppose to do this time?  It was a short one... and why?  I was just getting started...hearts were starting to mend.  Yes, there will always be those that didn't want to mend, but will they call me their YW leader when they get older? Did I make a difference?
No matter how you are told that you are being released, it's never easy.  UGH!  Emotions!
So pack up the YW items and on to new callings/assignments.
Maybe the bishop knew that with Josh's surgery, our attention needed to be with our family.  We did have a wonderful chat with him, and we felt the love he has for our family.  So I guess, I get to see what Heavenly Father has in store for me.
Ready or Not...here I come!

Not to worry to much...I am sure the YW program isn't done with you yet! And as a mom of daughters that had you as a YW leader, they are proud to call you their leader! Just focus on Josh now! And get some rest!!
