Remembering the 80's...

Last night I had the opportunity to play Racquetball. I hadn't even touched our racquets since I think Charlie was born...a very long time. My friend in the meadow found a place that had inside courts...like it's the only one maybe in this whole valley....so...we got in our "gear" I took 2 racquets because I had no idea which one to use...she brought the balls and cool looking eye protective wear...then the laughing began...I looked hideous! Was so uncoordinated, missed the ball, hit my friend a few times...hit the wall a few times...laughed more...tried to jump...but wait, yah, body doesn't jump like it use to...my body doesn't move like it use to...
I was surprised that I didn't get any black eyes...(most of the time the eye protective wear was on my head, cause they kept steaming up...)
By the end of the time I felt like this ....mind you, we did have a fabulous time and will definitely do that again.

AWESOME! You are my hero. I love to play raquetball but look equally rediculous so I NEVER go. Your post made me laugh. Hope you had a blast, keep rockin' it, girl!

Can you give yourself an "E" for effort? We ALL slow down as we get older!!!!! Sometimes we just decide to do something else that is more in keeping with age and agility but that doesn't mean we can't "remember when" we could do it all. Congratulations for trying and good luck the next time!
