"HONK!"

Here are just a couple of pictures of Jacob being the "Cat" in Honk! (better pics later after Doug unloads his camera)
It was amazing.....
Doug had only 1 week to get the scenery painted. This is not the normal, nor are the rules here in Utah the same as in CO. In CO...we could paint until midnight, paint after school, during school...etc. Doug didn't have to disassemble his scenery every day for a dance class. Plus his scenery was twice as big as it is now. So....we got the paint 1 week prior to opening night. A friend and I started painting, she did the green I did the brown on Tuesday night...Wednesday she did more green plus a couch, the casserole dish and bread while I had YW. Then Thursday (remember this is tech week) we both had stake leadership. Friday was the dance concert, and that teacher isn't nice about sharing space, so we couldn't even paint in the wings...So Saturday from 10 to 3 (we had to be out at 3...rules!) we had to have everything done.
Talk about pressure.
I do have to say for only having that short of time, once again Doug's scenery looked amazing!
The performance was 2 nights and it was free. Students did their own costumes (with a watchful eye from the director)..They couldn't practice after school...rules! Except tech week which rehearsals went until 6:00. So, so different from GJ!
Once again...a huge success with each night filling about 250 + seats!
Pretty darn good for a Middle School!

I guess all the practice you've had on previous scenery really paid off!
