Lawyer Jr.

This is Jacob's serious...I'm gonna win and make you cry pose.

All lawyers must smile sometime.
The cutest lawyer I've ever seen...(sorry Brad)

Over the last 2 years, Jacob has been in a homeroom enrichment class called "Mock Trial". Last year he got his first taste of what it's like being a lawyer. They research a case and then they bring it to a trial where there are judges who grade them on how they present the case. This year, Jacob was a little hesitant in taking the class again, but was talked into (not by his parents) but by the teacher. His "team" kept winning their case. They made it to the semi finals (in the state) and Jacob was very nervous about his closing statement. Thankfully we have a wonderful brother in law who helped him out with great patience. Well...we thought they lost to another team from the same school. But just yesterday the teacher told them they had won and were moving on to the final state competition because of technicalities the other team had. Jacob has mixed feelings about going since his friends are also on the opposing team. Whether or not he goes, we are very proud of Jacob and his "lawyer" abilities.
Maybe he will be the next lawyer of the family
