As everyone knows, I really hate going to Josh's Dr. Quack. So I have been preparing both spiritually and mentally to be able to stand up to this doctor. I told Doug my concerns and he wanted Bry to go and make sure I wasn't verbally attacked as I have felt in the past. I know, Bry is very vicious looking.. haha! In my scripture study, I came across the 2007 YW them...in part of that it says to stand firm....so I took that "stand firm" and decided that was what I was going to do. I don't know if it was because Bry was there or many members of my family fasted for us or reading scriptures and praying so hard for Dr. Quack's heart to understand Josh, but it was a good appointment. I know, shocking! He listened, didn't raise his voice, understood my concern and had an alternate plan and said to make sure I call him by Friday if it wasn't working. Holy Moly...usually he says to wait 2 weeks, but not this time. I couldn't believe it. Bry asked if the doctor always acted this way, I told him it was a totally different person. He even gave us some resources to look at for the health care of Josh (being that Josh is 18 1/2).
This experience has just strengthen my testimony on the power of reading scriptures and praying for answers comes to pass. No matter what the situation might be. Oh my heavens, what would I do without the gospel? It would just be a scarey place. What a relief!
