With some of the Roberts' side after Smooth Competition
Grandpa and Grandma with Charlie and his partner. I think this was one of the first time they have seen Charlie compete.
They are so funny!
Here are the 1st place and 2nd place winners. Charlie and his partner got first in Standard. Emily and Teddy got second. It was fun to cheer for both.
This past weekend Charlie found a competition in AZ. I decided that he needed a "chaperone" to go with him. My beautiful sister was gracious enough to let the group stay at her house and then fed them wonderful meals. They also enjoyed another beautiful sisters pool to relax in.
I stayed with my wonderful mother. No drama there :)
This was my first competition outside of Utah and it was nothing like dance sport. A lot of "older" people dancing with "older" pros. I think we brought the only young competitors. Charlie got first in Smooth because there was no one else against him. But, it was still great to see his new routines for this year. In standard it was almost everyone from Provo against each other. I loved it because of all the new routines this year and to see what improves in the next few months.
We were able to visit again with family and Emily's parents who made the trip from back East.
It was a well needed break.
P.S. Doug and the J's survived :)
