Thursday (last) Josh went to school and seemed fine...he's had a little runny nose, but it runs all the time and it was a clear color...not green yuckies or yellow yuckies...clear...so I figured it to allergies/cold. Well, Friday we had off (Josh took a vacation day) and he was laying around a lot, not wanting gerplex...etc...that's when you know he doesn't feel good. So I asked my friend in the meadow if she had a thermometer, cause this mamma doesn't have one. Thankfully she did and we took his temp. It was only 101.6...He's had this before at the start of school and the doctor said it was just a virus...read his blog for more details on my opinion of that doctor...anyways...so we gave him some tylenol and thought it was the virus again. Saturday came, he was a little more active, still not wanting to much to eat...laughing...Sunday came...we were all laying around...Dad dressed him in sweats and covered him in blankets. Later that night he noticed that Josh was sweating...Now that's because he either was hot or maybe his fever broke? That's at least what we thought...
Now, we are on Monday....Josh still was acting as though he didn't feel good and wasn't eating, so I kept him home. I did notice his breathing was different (oh, I forgot to tell you, he had a little...very little cough starting on Saturday)...the cough was still there so I gave him some cough syrup and it settled him a bit. When Doug got home later that evening we had planned on doing case lot sale for year supply items. He noticed Josh was pretty hot, so of course I said, for him to take Josh to the urgent care at the redwood clinic and I'd take the younger boys to get the case lot items. So we went our separate ways...
About half way through getting our items, Doug calls and tells me Josh's fever is 105! and that his oxygen level is VERY LOW! Upper 70's! DANGEROUS! They are trying to get the fever to come down and he'd call me with more information when they give him more.....yes, I'm in shock! The boys know, mom is about to go into panic mood...I actually keep calm, tell the boys to hurry and Bry gets the car as I'm checking out. Literally! We get home and I get the phone call...
They want to take Josh to the hospital by ambulance because of his condition and don't think he'll "stay" with us...Doug told them he'd drive Josh because it would totally freak Josh out to ride in a different car then dad. So they said if Josh looses consciousness to call 911. Okay, enter mom panic mood!
The year supply is in the hallway, I'm running around getting stuff to make Josh happy at the hospital plus change into sweats, get the deodorant, and toothbrush...kiss the boys, and off I go. (yes, I called my mom and probably scared the you know what out of her)
I go to the hospital (ask me my opinion later) and they have Josh in the ER with the fever down to 102. We had wonderful Priesthood brothern come and administer a beautiful blessing and...the fever disappeared...heehee! From then on I knew it would only be time and Josh would come home.
Sure enough, Josh is home...he had a very serious case of pneumonia...is on some big pills for 5 days and will be rechecked by his doctor in 2 weeks...has to get a chest x-ray in 6 (remember we are still doing the stomach testing too). We were told the cough would last at least a month..depending on Josh.
WHEW!
He's home, I'm home...we get our own beds...although the free DC was awesome...I love being home and mom to all my boys...(yes, that includes you...eldest!)
Thank you for all the prayers and thoughts in behalf of our family and Josh. Miracles happen!

Thanks for the readers digest version. When I told our boys that Josh was home Neal said with a lot of relief, "Yes, answers to prayers."
Boy! It never ends does it? You are all troopers if you ask me. I'm glad you are home. I hope everyone is resting well tonight.
I started to go into freak out mode right with you! I am soooo glad everything went well.
