These are very special visitors for our family and especially Josh.
On Valentines Day we waited until after church/naps to hand out the boys goodies from their grammy/grampy and from us...so they don't go on a sugar high...which Bry probably needed to stay awake in church with (that's another story)...All the boys were happy, Josh even rode his bike around the block a little (which he hasn't done in like forever)...but when he saw his "girlfriends" the smiles all came out.
Let me tell you about this special family and maybe I have already told you. This family has taken care and thought about Josh for a very long time. When the boys were younger, the girls in this family (and this is only 2 of them) would come over and take all 4 boys out to the park and for ice-cream..to give Doug and I a break. At first it surprised us, but their compassion was so heartfelt and sincere. Even after they had a death in the family, the girls kept coming over for Josh. After Rebekah came home off her mission (she is the one with the short hair; one of her younger sisters Rachael, came with her), she would call and deliver valentines to the boys. When we moved to Utah, I was missing (alot) those friendships that had developed over the years with this family. Until we received a call saying Rebekah was in town and wanted to visit her "boyfriend"...oh my heavens...words can't tell you how much my heart leaps as well as the tears that flowed. Once again, we got a call this weekend, saying she was in town and wanted to bring her "boyfriend" his Valentines. Can you say amazing. They have seen Josh rough (only those in Utah have seen a glimmer) and they still have the unconditional love for him. This family is just AWESOME!
After they left, we had our usual crepes (savory and sweet) for dinner.
A perfect day...no matter what.
After their visit
