This past weekend our ward had a youth conference. This was my first experience in having a "Ward" Youth Conference...and I think it went pretty well. We started it off by doing Baptisms at the Jordan temple on Wednesday afternoon. Then Thursday afternoon/evening we had some water games and wonderful BBQ provided by the bishopric and awesome homemade rootbeer..then Bry introduced our theme for Youth Conference which was "Treasure your Beliefs". On Friday we started early with a continental breakfast, then a service project which was cleaning the trail on the Jordan River Parkway (I think that is how you say it). We ate our lunch at a stopping point then headed towards Provo. Our hike plans changed due to location, so we ended up at Bridal Vail falls and did a little devotional there centering around this years scripture 1 Tim. 4:12. Then we just had to play in the very cold water...it was gorgeous! Our camping spot was pretty close, pretty up the mountain...and I thought GJ had horrible roads...holy cow...we made it and it wasn't to bad a spot...except the outhouses and no water..yah! Charlie came up and gave an amazing devotional as our speaker for the night fireside, then we played a variety of games. Saturday morning, we ate breakfast and packed up to our next adventure...tubbing the Provo river! YAH!! Needless to say it was very cold, but VERY fun...!!! After lunch we took the youth home to get clean and rested. Then the committee had a scavenger hunt at the church that lead them into the cultural hall to watch an amazing movie and have refreshments prepared by the bishopric...
IT WAS AMAZING!

That sounds like fun--just not the cold water part! Hope it went well
We just had our ward, "super" activity. Sounds like we both had a great last weekend!
Wow, what a lot of work that must've taken to put together. I have a feeling you did a lot of that work. Great job--it sounds amazing.
