So...how many visits can the Roberts' family make to the Urgent care hospital in 1 year...no wait 1 month...or every month...TO MANY!!! Some of you already are probably really laughing at our families adventures...but this mom is saying ENOUGH! Seriously...someone needs these "blessings" besides just our family....here, get comfortable and have a sit. Story time:
Doug and Jacob have been gone to scout camp this past week. I reminded Doug to remember his "age" and not over due it. (usually he does come back a little sore, he really likes getting into the camp and all the activities) This time though, I reminded him that we do have a son returning from his mission! SOON! So....besides Josh, being mad the first part of the week, me feeling his madness, anxiety setting in and throwing up taco bell...ya, not having that any time soon...Bry getting his cast off and thankfully our family's prayers were heard and Josh settled down...even though it took 2 hours for the cast to be removed (waiting, most of that time)...I was pooped by Friday night, but knew the carpets/couch all needed to be cleaned...and yes, I'm very picky about cleaning just ask my sister! Oh..plus I get to have my nieces over staying with us for the first time and was very excited about that! (seriously, that are a joy in this house of boys!)...back to the story....
Friday night, I'm wiped and still needing to clean couches...My mom bless her heart, said, "why not wait for Doug to come home so he can help (he is a good cleaner)...so I told her I'd just do the couches and wait for the floors once Doug got home...HAHAH!! This is where you might get a good laugh!
Saturday morning I get a call from Doug who is not sounding good...kind of tired, almost sick...I asked him what was wrong and he said..he hurt his arm and over did it. I asked him if he needed to see a doctor and of course he doesn't want to, but I thought, boy if he sounds this bad, he must be in pain...it was around lunch time when the boys drove up and I see Doug not even using his right hand...BAD NEWS! So thankfully Bry and Jacob hurried to get the car unloaded...Doug showered and off to the Urgent care we go...GREAT!
Mind you, my nieces are due in, the house is not cleaned...and of course, I'm suppose to be happy because of up coming events....Jacob's Birthday! Nope, haven't gotten anything yet for him! UGH!
After 3+ hours...Doug has a seperated shoulder...possible fracture in his shoulder somewhere (find out on Tuesday....!!!!) So Doug is out for 6 to 8 weeks in a sling that immobilizes his whole right arm...yes, he is right handed...YAH...
I'll just tell you this...my mood was not a good one..it was ...who knows what! So after cleaning the house and being in a pooppy mood...the sun came up...NOPE IT WASN'T a DREAM!~
We get a call this morning right before our regular sunday meetings from the stake clerk informing us when Charlie will be released as a missionary and was asked if we were excited about his homecoming...I replied that we have mixed emotions. Then he says..."Isn't it great to recieve those blessings from having a missionary..."! HAHAHA!! I simply replied, "if you only knew."
THE END!

Well that STINKS! Really the frosting on the cake is the stake guy's comment about blessings. So, he's saying if you didn't have a missionary out right now Doug would be in a full body cast or something. Thanks Charlie for serving a mission so only your Dad's arm is immobile. (Where's Pollyanna when you need her?)
My sweet sister, who is a saint and ready to build a mansion in the next life, you must continue to laugh. Crying takes up too much energy. All will work out. If the carpets are NOT cleaned, I promise you that Charlie will NOT notice! He just needs a bed to sleep in and some much needed family time. Boy, the stories you are gonna tell him! I wish you could record his face!
LOVE YOU
Oh my goodness!! I hope the bad luck ends soon.
You asked about the pictures on my blog. I found a cool program online called photoscape. I needed to find a program that did collages since I had so many pictures that I wanted to post, and this one worked out great.
Wow, holy cow! Doug I hope you recover quickly. Pam way to hang in there. Seriously it would be great to have a little less drama from injuries and ER to deal with. No pun intended about being the drama roost, that's just a phrase I've heard you use before.
