Not to many people know my dad. He is a true cowboy who loves family type movies that end in a tear or two. He was born and raised in Snowflake AZ. Where he tended cows, worked with his dad and probably got into trouble (he won't admit it!) He would take us every 24th of July for the big celebration, BBQ's and rodeo's. My dad is a hard worker and works lots...I mean lots.
He's been an accountant forever, but wears awesome looking rangler boots to work...that's the cowboy.
Growing up, he would take us camping in the mountains...and boy, he was the best cook! Frying fish that we'd catch in the stream, make cookies filled with everything but the kitchen cabinet...scare off the bears...and boy, can he Dutch Oven cook. I think that is what makes me love camping, are the memories of late night games, horse shoes...watching my uncles and my dad cook and laugh. He taught me how to handle the outdoors and not be a sissy about it.
My dad had all girls, and is still surviving...now that's saying something.
Some people might say he's a little rough around the edges, but really he has a heart of gold and loves me, what else could I ask for. So this Father's Day...I wanted him to know, how much I love him and enjoy the personality he brings when he can visit...even those silly names he calles us...taco bell, ding-a-ling....That's my DAD!
